Tera took a couple of trips to Poland with the ladies to buy polish Pottery, which was a very popular purchase for expat families living in the Netherlands. One could purchase the polish pottery in NL, for quite expensive prices, or drive 8 hours to the Polish border, and cross over to go to the actual factories and warehouses, and buy the dishes for ⅓ of the price. Tera and the girls also went to Poland on their girls trips, visiting Krakow and the surrounding areas to see Auschwitz, and some other WWII museums, quite a sobering trip. Highlights: #1 - Auschwitz - how could one call this concentration camp a highlight? The acts committed there are unimaginable, but to visit now is an intense, memorable experience. #2 - Ladies Trips to buy Polish Pottery - What is there not to like about buying a bowl for $2, when in the Netherlands it is $6?
