Hi! I’m Nathan, I’m 17, and I’m super enthusiastic about playing the piano (especially pop music), listening to pop music, (especially my favorite bands; Twenty One Pilots, Panic! at the Disco, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran), driving Remote-control cars, researching Tesla cars, doing mental math, measuring and graphing any statistics I can get my hands on, playing ping-pong, jogging, sprinting, and solving rubik’s cubes. If you want to try and beat me, my best is 22.45 seconds. My brother Jacob is well on his way :). I also love hiking up mountains (no marked trails, please!) spending time with my family, travelling, and reading non-fiction. When I graduated from high-school in June 2017, I decided I was definitely not going to miss out on a family year of travelling. College can wait! When I do get to college, however, I plan to go to Brigham Young University, where my parents both went and my sister Emily has been for 2 years. I am planning on majoring in Piano Performance and Statistics, but what I would really like to do as a career is make arrangements of pop songs for solo piano. I have been doing this for fun for the past 3 years, where I upload my own arrangements to my youtube channel, called Nathan Schaumann Piano. Not quite sure how I’m going to turn it into a viable career. Still working on that.
